Hello all, and welcome to the new blog! This website will serve a few purposes. The goal is for this to be a mashup of personal/professional goal, accountability, and community-type content. So, I’m very glad you’re here! I hope that by—or before—the end of this, you feel inspired to join my email list! You’ll get periodic updates on my journey to publishing, the site, and a pic of one (or more) of my cats!
Now that you know what I’m here for, here’s a little about myself: My name is Rhiannon (pronounced Ree-Ann-Nin, like the Fleetwood Mac song), and I am a writer. Have been for… around 13 years? Perhaps 14. I’ve been published here or there, done a few challenges, but I’ve yet to achieve the one goal I’ve had since I started this creative journey. I’ve yet to had a successful published novel. So, this year, I really want to buckle down and get about halfway through the process. Halfway because I’m realistic, but idealistically I would like to see a Christmas-time launch.
Again, realistically speaking, it’ll likely be in the spring of next year.
I am working on the first draft now, so this is as good a time as any to begin a website. Besides, this’ll be a fun way to document my journey! Writing is not done in a vacuum, and my brain is simply not wired to focus on one project at a time anymore. This site will also serve as an outlet when other, smaller stories beg for my attention. This is also an opportunity for bonus content like character get-to-know-mes, novel playlists, and the like!
Of course, if there is anything any of y’all would like to see, please feel free to say! You can follow my social media link and dm me! I want to be as accessible as possible. Though, with that said I will not be rejoining TikTok. For purposes I won’t go into right now, i don’t feel it’s trustworthy anymore. I’ll post video content when the AT Protocol Tiktok replacement gets finished, but before then, I’ll be focusing on written content.
